Civil War Era Rosewood Hammered Dulcimer American
1860's
Sold as found but an easy restoration. These are still played today especially at Contra Dances for traditional tunes. Almost
all the pins are tight in the block. I believe it is very playable in its current condition but I don't know how to tune it. I have some instructions for tuning and replacing strings.
A similar one is in the Peterboro, NH Historical Society. The stand will be included if desired.
Price
$650
Condition
As found. Deteriorated finish on sides, top has one glue joint separation and two tight cracks at the left, small veneer loss and minor cracks on sides. Almost all pins are tight. One piece of bridge replaced.
